Bartow County
Bartow County where there is no place like home. Bartow County was established and incoporated on December 3, 1832. It was originally named Cass County. Later the name was changed to honor Francis Bartow who was the first officer to die in the battle of Manassas in 1861.
Bartow County is located 45 minutes north of Atlanta and is in the foot hills of the beautiful appalacian mountains. Bartow covers an area of 459 square miles, with a population of 76,019. Bartow County is rich in culture and history with many wonderful places to visit.
Home of Lake Allatoona which covers 12,000 acres. Where you can hike the many trails, swim, boat, ski, or camp. It also has picnic shelters that you can rent.
Roselawn the home of the Rev. Sam Jones. Where the annual Roselawn Arts and Craft show is held each September. Also, be sure to visit the museum while visiting Roselawn.
Pinelog Methodist Church located in Pinelog where the ground shook during the 1800s is another historically important location to visit. Each September this is the home of the famous Pinelog Arts and Craft show.
Wienman Mineral Museum where there are many Rock Swaps throughout the year and Coke and Cookies learning series offered.
Booth Museum of Western Art. A state of the art facility that is sure to delight both young and old.

Adairsville
Adairsville is located just north of Cartersville. For those of you who love history this is where the Great Locomotive Chase took place during the civil war. Each October the city of Adairsville has a three day event with food, arts, crafts, music and dancing.
Another big draw to Adairsville is the famous Barnsley Garden ruins. In addition to the ruins you can stay in the cabins, visit the golf course, enjoy fine dining, and go back in time at the museum.

Cartersville
Cartersville the county seat of Bartow County. It boast many excellent school systems, a large local hospital with world class care, and Floyd College.
Cartersville is rich in historic culture you will want to visit the Etowah Indian Mounds, Weinman Mineral Museum, and Booth Museum of Art.
With many access areas to lake Allatoona it is the perfect place to live and play. You can swim, ski, boat, fish, and camp all at lake Allatoona.
Red Top Mountain Park
Red Top Mountain Park is located on lake Allatoona with a lodge, cottages, picnic shelters, group shelters and 12 miles of hiking trails. Red Top Mountain got its name from the red Georgia clay.
